Episode 8 - Now Live on Youtube

Hello Mobs and Minions! This week on Final Boss, Bay is joined by our lovely new co-host Anafielle of <Something Wicked> to talk about 10 man heroic raiding.  They are joined by Minimemage of <Dsylxeic>, the Beautifully Bearded Mage (sorry, Bay!) with the infectious smile, and Hunger from <Topped Off>, a Shadow Priest and officer.   Hunger is also joined by Hunger’s Gas Heater, which attempts to steal chat’s attention at every turn.

The show begins with a quick background of our guests; where they ended up for progression last tier and how they’re doing now.  <Dsylxeic> encountered a raid-stopping bug with Galakras gating which prevented any further progression.  The bug being, if you killed Sha of Pride and allowed a soft reset, you were unable to move past the gating to Galakras.  Bummer, Blizzard!  <Topped Off> had the same bug, but were fortunate enough to have a GM fix the issue so they could continue to kill internet dragons heroicly.

And while Hunger’s brother decided to schedule a wedding during progression (the nerve!), we have yet to find a guest that has topped Landsoul’s 35lb Lego Millennium Falcon as an out-of-game side project.  Step it up, guys!

Moving forward, Bay and Ana delve into the “When’s” and “Why’s” of 10 man raiding.  When did the first 10 man appear and when did 10 man raiding finally become an acceptable alternative to 25 man raiding?  Has the separation of 10 and 25 man achievements helped a lot?  And also, when and why did our guests switch to 10 mans?

Getting into the “Meat and Potatoes” of the show, Mini and Hunger are asked to discuss the logistics of running a 10 man.  Both concede it’s easier to run logistically and socially.  It’s easier to keep track of less people (who knew?) and they’re able to pick and choose who they want so that they mesh well with the group.  They move on to loot and how it’s handled… To avoid all the gory details, Minimemage puts it very succinctly – “Loot Sucks!”  He couldn’t be more right.

Finally, the show discusses PTR Preparation, Class balance – Bring a Hunter! – and any tips and tricks for Mages and Shadow Priests.

As always, Final Boss and its guests love to answer community questions at the end of the show.  You can ask them via the website: http://finalboss.tv/askaboss/ - via Twitter: @finalbosstv #AskABoss – via Twitch Chat during the show.
